Azzurri Communications Implements Best Practice Solution With EasyVista
Staff&Line UK has signed a major deal with Azzurri Communications to install its market leading IT Management solution, EasyVista 2007, across 1,000 IT assets
St Albans, UK, 24th September 2007: Staff&Line UK, the UK division of one of the leading publishers of IT Management software solutions, certified by Pink Elephant as ITIL®-compatible, has won a new contract with Azzurri Communications, one of the largest converged voice, data and managed service companies in the UK, serving a global customer base.
Azzurri manages voice and data communications to help businesses large and small, across many different market sectors, minimise costs and increase productivity. A large IT department supports this business, with up to 1,000 IT assets across 10 geographically dispersed sites in the UK and Scotland. In the weeks ahead, the company will be implementing EasyVista Express in order to automate and manage its IT estate. EasyVista Express incorporates Asset Management and Service Management modules as well as Staff&Line’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB) module. Sean Sadler, Group IT Infrastructure and Support Manager, explains:
“We are a very acquisitive business and as a result we have a lot of disparate IT systems to manage. We are therefore looking to fully automate and replace our ‘home grown’ internal service management system. We want to consolidate the number of sites that we have spread across the country, so it is really important for us to have a service desk system that is fully integrated and can evolve in line with the changes and growth of the business.”
Azzurri thoroughly researched the market, and looked at a number of Service Management products, finally selecting Staff&Line’s EasyVista solution. While initially Azzurri’s Service Desk requirements were the main driver for choosing EasyVista, the company could also see there would be enormous benefits from working with a fully automated and integrated solution. Azzurri was unable to implement ITIL best practices with its existing system and the company also wanted to be able to include asset management functionality into the overall solution. Azzurri was impressed with the level of granularity of management information and flexibility provided by EasyVista’s asset management module.

Today it delivers the necessary knowledge we need on our assets to enable us to fix them in a shorter space of time when things go wrong.
