Strategy announced during IPO in October 2005 bears first fruit as Staff&Line concludes acquisition of SIGHT International Group
Noisy-le-Grand, January 24th 2006 - Sylvain Gauthier and Jamal Labed, cofounders of Staff&Line, have announced the signing of an agreement to buy 100% of the capital of the SIGHT International Group, via an equity-funded operation.
Created 20 years ago, the SIGHT Group has operations in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Its main business lines include fixed asset inventory and financial reconciliation management for which it is the only European firm to be granted ISO 9001/2000 certification.
Historically, the SIGHT Group has also developed and sold a range of asset-management software. The firm disposes of a client base of 500 firms, in which its software is installed, including SOGECABLE (Canal+ and CNN- Spain), AIRBUS (Spain), SIEMENS (Italy), SODEXHO (Italy), COFIDIS (Portugal) and CARREFOUR (Portugal). These clients will be offered a migratory range leading them to Staff&Line products.
With the purchase of SIGHT, Staff&Line accelerates its development and extends its footprint on three southern European markets, a regional zone in which its American rivals are not very present. EasyVista, the new offering from Staff&Line’s IT Management*, will be localized and marketed immediately.
With the SIGHT Group, Staff&Line benefits from a local client base, immediate name recognition and a team of high-performing professionals. This deal also saves Staff&Line three years of work that would’ve been necessary to set up operations in several countries.
The SIGHT Group posted annual sales of around €3m in 2005.
Cédric LECLER, the current Managing Director of the SIGHT Group, declared:
“I am happy to join a listed firm that aims to become the leader on the IT management market in southern Europe as of 2006. The link-up between our two companies will be facilitated by our alliance of over 15 years.”
Cedric Lecler will head up the newly formed group’s southern European zone.
Apart from this first external-growth move, the group’s organic growth is expected to pick up in 2006, powered by sales from Staff&Line’s flagship product, EasyVista, especially among its primary target market, IT outsourcers.
Annual sales for 2005 will be released on February 21st and followed by a conference call.
