"Equipment/Software" tickets actions tab?
#1
(v2014) Somebody knows what should appear under the "Equipment/Software" tab? (in the tickets actions forms).

We thought if an equipment was added to the "Equipment" tab or a license to the "Licenses" tab in the ticket details form (they are added to the SD_REQUEST_ASSET table), they will appear also in the "Equipment/software" actions tab.... but not (??) What is it for?

Listening. We thought so too.  Seems like a usability issue.  No one here could figure out what else it should/could be meaning it either wasn't optimally designed or is in error.

Hello,

"Equipement/Software" tab display SD_REQUEST_DETAIL, the content of caddy that logistic step must provide.
"Equipement" tab or "Software" tab [not visible in dialog action, only on request/incident dialog] display SD_REQUEST_ASSET, equipments or sofware/licences impacted by incident or request. Not very usefull for sure in most case because we used SD_REQUEST.ASSET_ID (single equipement related to incident).

Remember that you can turn on/off tabs with filter or profil.

Thank you Philippe for your clarification!!!

In our case, to show/manage all ticket related “items” in the actions forms, we have applied as workaround the conversion/management of the desired assets as CIs (although for many reasons we don’t like it so much, it’s the unique way we have found). Therefore the related assets/CIs appear under the “CI” tab.

Hello,
We only used one relationship beetween incident and asset (hardware that can be choose manualy) but we used SQL step in workflow to put CI (provided by incident catalog) on incident.
If you need to add several hardware and CI's to incident, you found the best way.
