These days when evaluating ITSM solutions, most organizations have “SaaS-based” at the very top of their criteria lists. In fact, during H1 of this year, EasyVista saw record growth of customers moving their ITSM solutions to SaaS-based in North America. A cloud-based service management tool ensures that organizations can continue to offer essential services to their increasingly mobile workforce for less out-of-pocket costs inherent to "on premise" software expenditures. So what’s not to love?
Well, not all SaaS-based solutions and vendors are built alike—especially when it comes to security and compliance. With these concerns weighing heavily on the minds of tech execs around the world, the importance of vetting ITSM vendors for proper internal control processes and procedures can’t be understated.
That why’s we’re proud to announce that EasyVista has joined an elite group of IT service management providers to have completed the coveted SSAE-16 SOC 2 Type 2 audit report for its SaaS services. Passing this rigorous independent audit provides an objective assessment of EasyVista’s commitment to compliance with the strict policies and practices related to cloud-based data security, compliance, and governance.
Put forth by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SSAE-16 (aka Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) is an “attest” standard that evaluates a company’s adherence to requirements surrounding security, compliance, and governance. It is currently the standard for reporting on controls at service organizations. SSAE-16 is used by companies worldwide when seeking an unbiased and detailed perspective on a vendor’s ability to deliver a safe, secure, and compliant cloud offering. It’s a major undertaking to measure up and pass the audit. Most don’t even attempt it, and of those that do, a great number do not pass.
“Robust security and data practices in the cloud are essential to our customers in every part of the world. CIOs today want the powerful benefits of a cloud-based solution, but they are requiring unprecedented levels of rigor when it comes to security and compliance mandates. We are one of only a few providers in IT service management to have passed the SSAE-16 Type 2 audit providing our customers a high level of trust available in cloud solutions.”
- Jamal Labed, COO, EasyVista
“The level of investigation into EasyVista’s cloud data practices, governance and compliance that this audit report provides is a critical differentiator. Respect for the audit report is far-reaching as it offers deep transparency into EasyVista’s cloud processes and procedures, giving prospects all they need to evaluate the company’s readiness as a viable, trusted cloud offering for ITSM.”
- Nathan George, CEO, Flycast Partners
