EasyVista 2010 Enterprise ITSM and Free iPhone Application Released

itSMF Fusion, Louisville, Kentucky, September 20, 2010 -  EasyVista Inc., member of the Staff&Line Group, a global leader in IT Service Management (ITSM), today announced the launch of the latest version of its flagship product, EasyVista 2010. This version of the enterprise ITSM software features a host of new and advanced capabilities that enable consistent ITIL implementation, improve efficiencies and speed implementation and the decision-making process.  In addition, the company announced today a free iPhone application that allows Service Desk Managers to control the Service Desk in real-time from their mobile device.

Based on user feedback, more than a hundred enhancements were made across the full range of EasyVista functions. These include the following enhanced ITSM and IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities:

Enhanced ITSM Capabilities:

  • New ITIL Processes – EasyVista 2010 provides extensive ITIL coverage with new Service Catalog Management, Service Portfolio Management, Capacity Management, and Baseline Management processes. With EasyVista 2010, the ITIL processes are covered from concept to deployment in a single product, ensuring consistent ITIL implementation.
  • New Service Desk Features – EasyVista 2010 includes email templates, an Incident Update via Email feature, to ensure efficiency and provide international support and enhanced communication between the Service Desk and end users.
  • More Codeless Features – EasyVista 2010 includes Enhanced Workflow Tags and Enhanced Workflow Rules to ensure full codeless customization.
  • New CMDB Baseline Management Features – EasyVista 2010 keeps track of CMDB modifications and instantly identifies unplanned changes, enhancing change control capabilities.

Enhanced ITAM Capabilities:

  • Advanced Software Detection Rules – EasyVista 2010 features advanced license management with out-of-the-box compliance reports for licenses based on the number of CPUs, as well as enhanced software detection rules. These features allow faster implementation of detailed Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives.
  • Enhanced Traceability And New History of Movement – EasyVista 2010 has an unlimited number of fields and data.  EasyVista provides seamless integration with Google Maps to incorporate geography in an organization’s decision-making process. Based on this information, organizations can plan on-site interventions based on location, and understand the closest available stock.

EasyVista 2010 is available to EasyVista customers with an active maintenance contract from September 2010.

EasyVista Inc. has also launched a free iPhone application that allows Service Desk Managers to control the Service Desk in real-time, as well as the team’s activity, anytime, anywhere.  The key functions of the EasyVista iPhone application include real-time monitoring of incidents and change requests being processed; live status of incidents and change requests, per item; and the contact details of the requestor.
