Manitou Group Choose EasyVista Cloud ITSM For Worldwide Support

The need to modernise IT support drives a strategy of improved service delivery to Manitou’s global business.

New York, December 21st, 2013 - EasyVista Inc. (www.easyvista.com), a global leader in cloud-based IT Service and Asset Management, today confirmed the completion of a major global project for material handling manufacturer, Manitou (www.manitou-group.com).

The HD2 Project was launched by the Manitou group in order to improve IT user-experience with a hybrid of a global call and operations center and local service desks across its business and subsidiaries. The Manitou Group has 8 production sites and 17 subsidiaries worldwide, strategically the organization’s IT Management realized the benefit of implementing a Service Desk on a SaaS platform to manage service requests across multiple time zones in support of nearly 3,500 employees.

The decision points for the project were built on three main areas; the supplying vendor’s capabilities, technical (solution platform) and process realization (ITIL and beyond). After a consultative selection process, EasyVista was selected by Manitou for its ability to respond to the group's existing demands by quickly establishing a solid service structure from which future requirements and changing user demands could be realized.

The real needs of the project aimed to significantly re-engineer Manitou’s service delivery capabilities. The Company’s IT Management undertook a diligent review and proofing of all solutions during 2013 before commencing the implementation of EasyVista Cloud ITSM and deploying across every subsidiary.

Prior to implementing EasyVista, Manitou had developed an in-house tool which lacked any process maturity and had started to be outpaced by end-user expectations of IT. Increasingly the pressure was there to reassess how best to respond to the changing priorities of the business and mitigating the risks to user productivity and satisfaction.
